Hematology/Oncology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine that is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood diseases (hematology) and cancer (oncology). Hematology/Oncology includes such diseases as iron deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, leukemia and lymphomas.
