Description:Under the direction of the Manager of the Quality and Performance Department, the Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with the management of the operations of the Quality and Performance department.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, implementing, managing, and evaluating various quality initiatives/programs. The Assistant Manager will also manage the Patient Outreach Coordinator staff. It will be critical for this candidate to work collaboratively with the clinical managers, physicians, senior management, and data analysts on coordinating and evaluating specific quality projects. Excellent communication skills(written and verbal) as well as precise analytical skills are required to assist in the collection, interpretation, and presentation of performance measure data. Must have the ability to think critically and constructively in order to contribute to the formulation of both short and long term goals for the Quality and Performance Department. Applicants must possess a bachelor´s degree in a related field as well as have proven/applicable quality management experience in a health care setting that is aggressively pursuing quality initiatives such as attainment of ACO status or creating a PCMH.
